Designing a Winner
Team Sauber has one of the most advanced and innovative computer-aided design (CAD) environments in its industry. With the power and versatility of computer graphics technology, Team Sauber designers were able to meet and exceed design goals that were previously unattainable. The result: a faster design and development process, adherence to stringent size and weight specifications, and performance optimization for its Red Bull-Sauber-Ford C15. Using design tools to visualize its progress, Team Sauber created 3D digital mock-ups to validate the design of the car even before any components had been manufactured.
